Exhibition Opening: Art of the Stage: Picasso to Hockney at Museum of Fine Arts From the sumptuous productions of the Ballets Russes, to the riotous spectacle of avant-garde theatre, to Robert Indiana’s Pop vision for an American opera, "Art of the Stage" seductively reflects the grand history of Western art from the vantage point of the stage. This exhibition draws from the Tobin Collection of Theatre Arts, noted for its holdings of works by major painters who also designed for the stage.
