Family movie night is under the stars this December. St. Pete Parks and Recreation announced the return of its popular Holiday Movies in the Park series for the 2025 season, bringing free showings of holiday classics to the city’s beautiful parks.

The free and family-friendly events take place at three different parks, all featuring pre-movie festivities and and cheerful movie experience after sunset. Activities begin at 6:30 pm each night, followed by the movie starting at 7 pm.

Each movie night begins with festive activities before the main feature. Guests can snap photos with Santa, participate in reindeer games, and enjoy holiday-themed concessions. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for a comfortable evening under the stars.

Holiday Movies in the Park is one of dozens of events that are part of the Holidays in the Sunshine City program of events, including the Santa Parade and Tree Lighting at the end of November. You can see the full calendar of events here.

The movie series opens to the public at 6:30 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

  • Dec. 6: Vinoy Park – Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

  • Dec. 13: Pinellas Pioneer Settlement – The Santa Clause

  • Dec. 20: Huggins-Stengel Field – A Miser Brothers’ Christmas
