Standup paddle boarding (SUP), the act of propelling oneself on a floating platform with the help of a paddle. St. Petersburg is surrounded by water and there are many opportunities to enjoy the beauty of the area on the water.

St Pete's Blueways has put together a Paddling Guide for canoes, kayaks or paddleboards. Each Blueway trail has parking, designated landings, and shorelines that are open to the public. Many Blueways also feature ramps, wash stations, and storage racks.

Paddlers have a variety of opportunities to discover the beauties of our diverse shoreline and rich marine and estuarine ecosystems.

At both Fort DeSoto and Weedon Island paddle trails there are rentals where you can rent a kayak or a SUP and take some marked trails!
