The Beach Theatre
315 Corey Ave
St. Pete Beach, Fl 33706
After more than a decade in the dark, The Beach Theatre is lighting up again on St. Pete Beach. The historic cinema officially reopened its doors thanks to the vision of owner Hannah Hockman and the unwavering support of local film lovers, volunteers, and preservationists. Located in the heart of St. Pete Beach, The Beach Theatre has been a beloved gathering place since 1940. Its return marks a new chapter for the waterfront community.
A full renovation brought the space back to life after years of vacancy and storm damage. The updates include a new screen, sound system, seating, air conditioning, roof, and more.
To celebrate the grand reopening, The Beach Theatre is screening a locally produced documentary by Lunar Speedboat Productions. A New Wave: Revival of The Beach Theatre explores the history of the venue and the efforts behind its revival. The film is part of a lineup of events designed to bring residents and visitors together through cinema and the arts.
Classics return to the big screen this summer
Here’s what’s coming up on the big screen:

The Beach Theatre will continue to serve as a venue for both films and live performances. As it enters this next era, the space remains rooted in its mission to celebrate creativity and bring people together—one screening at a time.
